holiday via the phone, which generates a message that is sent to the
employee’s manager for approval. The
manager approves the request via a voice message and then forwards the
request to HR for processing.
Information
hotline – Non-urgent HR
questions can be left as voice mail messages on a benefits hotline.
Callers receive a reference number and time to call back.
They call back, enter the reference number and hear a recorded
response. The application
evens out workload between benefits personnel and provides tracking and
reporting capabilities for the manager.
Employment
screening – Job candidates
can begin the application process by answering screening questions via the
phone. The questions can include verbal responses in addition to touchtone
responses.
Recruiting
notification – After
interviewing, non-exempt job candidates are given a phone number and
reference number to obtain information about next steps.
Candidates can call the number to check the job status, and are
given the option to leave a voice message.
